Introduction Society is more aware of the prevalence of mental illness today than ever before - and yet, mental illness is still grossly misunderstood and under-treated. Though there has been extensive research done on mental illness, there is still more to be discovered. According to Mental Health America – a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving mental health in the U.S. – 43.7 million people struggle with a mental illness annually in the United States. And although access to mental health services has improved across the country, a majority of people suffering with a mental illness do not or cannot seek help. Only 44 percent of Americans with a mental illness will receive treatment in their lifetime. I really enjoyed reading your paper. Although I am not highly interested in counseling, I found your paper of interest. I liked the way your paper flowed. All the information was well integrated into the essay.
ReplyDeleteI think I saw one grammatical error in the first paragraph of your conclusion. I believe you meant to say "doubtful" rather than "doubly".
You did a very good job presenting the different genres of writing done in a counseling field.
